The department also has a well-equipped technology center, whose equipment can be used for student theses as well as for research projects.

Equipment for archaeological excavations:
Comprehensive equipment is available for carrying out excavations; in addition to basic tools, this includes auxiliary equipment, such as electric generators. 

Equipment for archaeological surveys: 
Multiple hand-held GPS receivers can be used for surveys or field orientation. 

For measurement: 
Motorized total station with remote control (Leica TCRA 1205)
Total station with “reflektorlos” with reflectorless measurement (Leica TCR 407)
RTK-GPS system (Leica 1230GG), consisting of base and rover (equipped for Navstar-GPS and GLONASS)
Digital levelling device (Leica Sprinter S)
Several optical compensator levelling devices
Extensive software equipment for surveying and photogrammetry (including Leica GeoOffice 8.0, Elcovision 10, 2 x PhoToPlan, Civil and Structural Engineering 10er Academic License, AutoCAD Map 2008 10er Academic License)
